Default Lore in video form

I recently found probably the best "let's play" for Guild Wars on Youtube, that I've ever watched.
Unfortunately, the guy gets very few views and I think it's a massive shame that so many people are missing out on it! I don't really have permission, but I'm sure he wouldn't object to getting some traffic - I'm also sure that people in Nolani would appreciate this sort of thing.

His playthrough of Prophecies is done completely solo with a warrior, and focuses HEAVILY on speculation and pieces of lore that you might have missed, or forgotten about over the years.
Currently he's going through Factions with another spin on the playthrough and constantly throwing in heaps of information that, I personally missed too.

I won't say any more, so TL;DR amazing LP of the game, lots of lore and tidbits, deserves more views.

Also, my apologies if this is the wrong forum, I'll admit that I don't frequent these sections much

This guy plays without partylist, compass or target bar.
That's awsome.

This is awesome... like having an audiobook in the background so I feel like I'm playing the game while getting work done I just watched the first 3 and I'm already surprised at all the stuff I didn't catch when I started playing :O

Ahhhhhhhhh so here is why I got, like, 60 extra views on my Eternal Grove video! I'm rarely on Gw1Guru, so its funny I actually caught this.

Hi! Thanks very much for trying to help me get some more views mike, I dont mind at all.

Thanks for the kind words to the both of you above me. This thread probably wont get many more posts, but i'll keep an eye on it in any case. If anyone has any comments or wants to ask me something feel free to post away!

I finished Factions today so the series will be complete on youtube over the next 2-3 days.

rofl, since you're checking this thread, I just wanted to say I'm up at Proph episode 46, and your videos have been a very welcome companion while doing extremely boring data analysis for my thesis XD I really like how you describe and read everything so this really is like an audio book, and yet you give us a heads up when there's something visually interesting so I can flip back to see what it is I love your commentary, and there were many parts that made me laugh like that XP montage early on where you were like 'and those 4 seconds represented hours of my life'

I've definitely been rooting for you and poor Charlie, especially when you have to restart through harder portions! You are seriously tempting me to buy an extra char slot and start a warrior XD

I'm glad you like them! Looking back at my Proph LP i'm actually quite dissapointed with my commentary. I blow through pre-searing without looking at some of the best stuff and just feel like I sound, I dont know, a bit dry and flat.

Though i'm sure i'll think the same thing about Factions in a few months so whatever xD.

A few people have come in game and told me they like the series as a bit of an audio-book too, funnily. Good for listening while working on titles and what-not. Hope your data analysis goes well!

Found the videos through this thread, and so far I'm enjoying them a lot, too. I've only made it through the first three or four, and I can see why you might think they're dry, but it certainly hasn't bothered me so far. I don't have the patience to run through this content again, but I'm very glad you did! I'm putting them full-screen on my second monitor while I work on the first, and I'm looking forward to many more hours of entertainment (and distraction?).

Thanks for doing this!

Thats exactly what i'd be doing too with a second monitor! Glad you're liking them. I like to think they get less dry as my nerves whittle away and I get a bit more lively, but i'll let others be the judge of that.

Any comments on how I could improve or what you'd like to see feel free to throw them my way.

Very glad to see some success here

I think Factions so far has been a better playthrough than Prophecies, but that is because you didn't have to struggle through the game sooo much. The challenges put a nice spin on things but sometimes might just be a bit too much. I'd rather you didn't change anything though, I love it.

Sightless? That's an interesting concept.

There's few walkthrough videos that peak my interest when the player talks. But you've peaked my interest with these limitations.

But I'll likely watch these mute. Unless you accompany your playing with jokes.

@ Mike. Yeah 100% agree. Thats exactly why I didnt try Factions solo. NF will be even easier than factions.

@Konig. Nah there aren't any jokes. And my vids really dont have anything to teach you. Any lorehounds will know it all already. Its more for those who skipped everything or didnt even play the first game. If anything you'll just find me making mistakes or being annoyed by my speculation xD.

I've been looking for something to listen to in the background while at the office. I think this will be very entertaining for me as I didn't really pay attention to lore stuff when I fist started playing. I was busy trying to rush through everything to catch up with my friends!
